What is "Simple Studies in Scripture"?
The purpose of the Simple Studies in Scripture series is to provide individuals with a general knowledge of the contents of the books of the Bible, one chapter at a time. Each chapter has five questions and answers based on the bibilcal text followed by five questions and answers designed for personal reflection and application. Additionally, there is a suggested memory verse per chapter relevant to the material covered. Supplemental information is provded when appropriated at the end of each chapter. The biblical text is interspered with commentary, devotional thoughts, doctrinal summaries, charts, quotes, and other helpful information.
For churches with budget constraints for Sunday school material or home Bible studies, the Simple Studies in Scripture series are available free of charge. The material can also be photocopied for a wider audience. The series is also a great tool for missionary minded congregations who send Christian materials overseas to enable ministries in foreign lands.
The series currently comprises 30 books of the Bible and 8 non-canonical works. Each topic includes a Student Study Guide (questions only) and a Leader's Study Guide (answers provided).
